The Shali Tibba is the highest peak in the vicinity of Shimla. Shali Tibba, at an altitude of 9,423 feet, is surrounded by Shimla, Mashobra, Kufri, Fagu and Narkanda. This stand-alone peak provides a magnificent point for a panoramic 360 degree view of Himachal Pradesh. Shali tibba is a peak one should not miss. The peak commands an unforgettable view of endless snow covered ranges along with the Sutlej valley and the densely forested hills of Shimla, Fagu and Narkanda. Trek starts from the base camp, village khatnol. The road leading to khatnol winds through a quiet and beautiful valley of blue pine and cedar forest.

Meals : Breakfast & DinnerEarly morning after breakfast we will move to Khatnol. khatnol is approx 45 km from Shimla and it takes around 2 hr from Shimla. After 2 hour drive, we will reach village khatnol. Then from Khatnol we will move to Shali Tibba Trek. Khatnol to Shali Tibba Trek starts from khatnol, from khatnol we will take road going up towards the mountain. The road is approx 2 km after which it turns into a stone laden trail going uphill. This trail goes through thick forest covering pleasant greeneries and 180 degree view of the valley. The trail is zigzag upwards with some bends in between. The forest is denser in this section. Around 15 minute more of hiking and we will see the trail twirling up again with a series of scissor bends. From here, the terrain gets really steep. After 15 minutes of going straight up the hill, we will reach a small expanse of land. From here, all you can see above you is the mountain obscured with thick forest cover. After approx 3 hour of trek we will reach at the top of shali tibba, temple having approx 50 step up. Enjoy the 360 degree view of the great Himalayan range. You can locate Mt. Deo tibba and Mt.Indrasen. You can also see Shrikhand and churdhar ranges, peaks from uttrakhand . The beautiful view and atmosphere make it all worth. Enjoy packed lunch at the top of Shali Tibba. Spend some good time there. After lunch, rest for some while & descend down towards Himri Village. It takes around 2-3 hrs. Of walk which passes through beautiful Jungle trail consist of mesmerizing Pine & Deodar forest. On reaching there, enjoy activities to meet with villagers & understand their rich culture. Enjoy their hospitality, local cuisine & stay at home stay. Dinner & overnight stay.
